I hope that all is well. I have a quick question...what products are you using for your hair? I am trying to go natural and I need some direction.
Hey Girl,
Go to www.groworganichair.com
look back through this blog to older post. There is a lot of good information to assist you in your efforts......The problem is we are so mixed up until there is no one way to say this or that is the solution. Here is your opportunity to work with your hairatige or heritage....experiment with what has worked for others, identify your hair type, you may want to mix some products or buy from the counter.
Some rules:
The beauty of your hair during the day has to do with what you do with it at night before you go to bed.
1. Since your hair frames your face you want at least your edges to look good moisturize them, wax or gel, and tie them down
2. The rest of your hair moisturize and braid, you may do 2 or many braids, what ever you feel like doing and depending on your length, so that when you get up and get ready to go, you have some form to your hair.
3. Rethink the approach to hair care! Combs are used differently when the hair is wet in the shower to detangle during the conditioning process. Brushes are used mostly with the ball on the ends of the bristles to distribute your moisturizers throughout the hair. When you undo your braids use your hands to form a style, do not comb. Your best tool is your pick, not for picking but for lifting the hair and forming the style you would like. Your best substance is water.
4. Finishing your style try, while you are working with your hair, unbraiding, apply to your hands some polishing oils and rub your hair as you go. Caution: go light because you do not want it to be so much that it drips but you do want to treat the hair so that it does not look so dry.
5. You may also use some bottle water and vegetable glycerin... 3/4 Water 1/4 glycerin. Mix well! Can be used when you prepare the hair at night and also as you prepare the style at day time.
