Reasons a Woman may choose to go Natural

Let's Talk .......................
There are times in a woman's life when she is very delicate and does not need to absorb harsh chemicals into the blood stream. Times such as ...

When a BABY is developing in the womb ....

When she is
Breast Feeding a Baby ...................

When her
health has been compromised by Disease....

or when
hair is over processed............. or she is tired of the scorched ears and edges from the hot comb, the burnt places on the scalp from the chemicals and the insensitivity of the technicians applying the chemicals...........

So what
does she do?

{GO} Grow Organic is providing support for those very
deilicate times with styles and cultivation of the Natural Hair.
Our hope is
that after this woman learns to work with her own hair, that she never has a need to introduce any harsh substance into her life or the lives of her children again. We are interested in your views so post your opinion for the benefit of all of us or email thegogirls@gmail.com

When Styling the Kinks & the Napps

Hair that is coarse and thick as pictured below, the absolute last thing you want to do is get a wide tooth comb and start combing. That would be equivalent to Pure Torture.

What You can do is..............

  • Get purified water and a lightweight essential oil
  • mix 3/4 water to 1/4 oil
  • in a spray bottle, mix well
  • separate a section of hair with the back end of a rat tail comb (never comb with that comb -just for sectioning hair off)
  • Then spray mix on a section of hair at the same time holding hair in palm and massaging mixture on the hair
  • Use duck bill hair pens to hold separated parts....
  • the moisturized hair should be brushed with paddle brush, starting from the ends and working back to the roots applying your favorite styling gel , check our Older Post for styling ideas
  • Pic is used for lifting and shaping the style, not picking the hair (Picking can be damaging)
Below Nappy & Kinky User Friendly Tools
  • Pic & Rat Tail Combs

  • Duck Bill hair clips
  • Paddle Brush with Ball ends
  • Spray bottle

Meaningful Mondays

Are you positive? Is the glass half full or half empty?

Does positivity exude from your person? Usually being natural gives you a stronger sense of self, a boldness if you will, confidence...  While on this journey, make your outlook a positive one.  Make the straight hairs wonder... what is it with those natural girls? They are always smiling and oh so positive...
