Weather the Waves...

Have you notice the weather change... in your HAIR?

Each season has a different effect on our hair. I'm not sure about your area, but we have been experiencing some fluke weather these past couple of months. What's going on with your curls & twirls? Let's us know by leaving a comment below so others can benefit from our suggestions. Here are a few {GO} tips for the changing seasons:
#1 Moisture- sometimes the sun can just zap the moisture from our tender kinks. Try deep conditioning with Olive Oil and Honey! Cover with a shower cap and a warm towel on top so it a deeply penetrate the shaft of the hair. A lil sticky, but your hair will be soft and shiny afterwards! For the full recipe email us at thegogirls@gmail.com!

#2 Protective styles- every thing from bunned up twists to silk or satin scarfs. Try to protect your hair from the elements as much as possible until your hair adjust to the changing of the seasons.

#3 WATER- yes drink it! Our hair can become brittle with the changing seasons. If you want a little flavor try a nice cool herbal tea instead of coffee or milk based drinks. Our hair loves water INSIDE & out.

Have a meaningful & productive day {GO} boys & girls!

Weekend Wave ~ EXCLUSIVE

Good day {GO} girls & guys.
For the past couple of weeks I have been having more and more people coming to me for hair advice, in particular products. The main concern I have run across is that people want something natural that actually works!
Well I have an EXCLUSIVE TIP just for you.
*psssss... it's really not that exclusive, sorry, just gotta be honest :)*

What you need:
Virgin Coconut Oil  & Olive Oil
Mix equal parts of each
Semi-saturate your hair with oil and cover with a warm towel for 5-15mins
Wash &/or condition your hair as usual
Add a touch of Coconut Oil for a little extra humph

You will notice a luster to your strains and also curl definition. Try it for yourself and let us know the results!  Basically you've created your own hot oil treatment without the chemicals and preservatives. ALL NATURAL and IT WORKS WONDERS!
Keep it up... if you don't see results the first time, you may have extremely dry hair.. give it a few trys and watch your hair come to life.

Weather the Waves

What to do with dry, brittle hair?  The changing weather is not helping... let alone windy or rainy days. Remember to protect your hair with the proper amount of moisture. It makes a MAJOR difference.

Here's a tip!  Take a spray bottle with filtered water add 2-3 tablespoons vegetable glycerin (found at most grocery stores or farmer's markets) shake well and spray on your kinky curls for a boost of moisture and shine.
