This article brings to mind the many conflicts in America today that speak out loudly from both Black folks and White folks that to some degree African Americans are still on the Planatation. Therefore being on the Plantation 1.you must please the Master, 2.and stay in your place, 3.do not appear you are going to be on equal grounds with the Master! If your hair is clean, smell good and is healthy; why in the 21st Century can you not decide without consequences how to where your hair?
The consequences are real and proven. The fact is... no matter how unforunate... the fact is you are judged and treated based upon not only how you present yourself but how you look. And HAIR is a major part of that. America... Land of the Free.
