Where does your hair care money go?

  1. It is interesting that you posted this because I was thinking about this very thing. If you look at the housing market and all the years realtors made a fortune off the overly priced houses and now the housing market is on the downward spiral. The banks and car industries as well are not what they use to be. I was thinking I wonder what would happen if black women stopped perming their hair thus eliminating the need for so many chemicals and other stuff for your hair, would that affect the asian domination of the black hair industry. But, I have to say that the first time I went to a beauty supply and saw a black person working there, I was shcoked. Now, I see it quite a bit and am glad that we are working--no matter what one might think about it. I agree with my husband that wealth is supposed to be spread around and things have a way of leveling off. And I think that is what happened with the economy that the scale has tipped now. Perhaps more blacks will get involved in the hair industry and we supporting each other will cause the scale to tip.
